How to add a Large Plone Folder
about the use and implementation of Large Plone Folders
A Large Plone folder is very useful if you intent to have more than 50 items in a folder.
To make large plone folder available in drop down menu of edit box
1. go to zmi:
2. click on portal_types tool
3. click on Large Plone Folder
4. ensure that "Implicitly Addable" checkbox is CHECKED
5. Save changes
Fairly straightforward. This can also be used for adding other portal types to the drop down menu. E.g. Plone Article e.t.c
Items in Large Plone Folder not Showing?
If items of a large plone folder are not showing in the navigation bar
1. goto portal properties
2. go to navigation settings
3. From: parentMetaTypesNotToQuery remove Large Plone Folders . the items should now show up.
