Advice for Vasudeva Server Websites
Listing some of the nice new features that come standard with plone 2.5, and advice on using them
1. Change Creator of a Page
- To change the creator of individual pages, click on the properties tab and then changing the creator half way down.
- You can also add contributors if more than one people contributed towards the article race.
- It is very good if members of the site (and especially country reviewers) can add a small picture. This can be done by clicking on preferences and then personal preferences. Then upload a relatively small picture. You can write a short biography as well.
2. Short Names.
- Plone 2.5 automatically converts a title to the correct short url (no more ugly docment.2006.96.06 e.t.c)
3. Index_html Pages
- Creating an Index_html page in Plone 2.5
- Go to the folder click on the button top right. "display"
- on the drop down panel select "choose content to be displayed as default view"

4. Image Folder.
- For ease of maintenance it is advisable to have an image folder for adding new images. Otherwise the home folder of a country may get too many items.
- If you like you can exclude the images folder from the navigation bar. Click on properties, then click the box “exclude from navigation bar”
- It is not advisable to put existing images in an image folder as you would have to change all the picture links.

Unfortunately Kupu is still not working quite as we would like. It seems to not like resizing pics. e.t.c.
We are hopingto be able to use an improved FCK editor soon.
Press the button at bottom which says 'click to edit with visual editor', Then Kupu will work
